Gregory Larnell

Gregory V. Larnell, PhD, is a faculty member in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Larnell studies and teaches courses on education and mathematics education with specialized attention to curriculum, learning, identity, and inequity. Some current research projects include studies of postsecondary remediation at two- and four-year colleges, a multi-investigator study of middle-school mathematics teaching professional development and student learning, and a multi-investigator study of elementary teacher education. Larnell’s work has been published in the Journal of Education, the Journal for Research in Mathematics Education, and the Handbook of Urban Education among other print outlets, other media, and national and international conference proceedings.
